Why 5G and is 4G LTE going away?

5G wireless technology is meant to deliver higher peak data speeds, lower latency, more reliability, greater network capacity, increased availability, and a more uniform user experience to more users.

The growth of 5G networks doesn’t mean 4G is going away.  Broadband providers will continue to use existing 4G LTE networks to provide service into the next decade.  5G networks will work with 4G — not outright replace it.  5G simply advances the evolution of wireless from 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G 5G will still use 4G technology.
